Young Renaissance Scholars | Art Studio In-Person
Weekly workshops , offered by a local master, provides a traditional framework for progressive mastery of drawing, beginning with four principles of visual language: Line, Shape, Value, and Form that can be applied to an array of different media and disciplines.
Students will progress to two dimensional drawings from the Charles Bargue Drawing Course before copying plaster casts inspired by sculptures from classical antiquity. Returning students will continue drawing from the casts with increasingly more complex subjects with the option to progress to grisaille painting using 9-step value scale.
Participation is free, but please call the Library at (505) 867-1440 to register as places are limited.
