Home Food Preservation: Dehydration In-Person

Students must have taken at least one Friday class in order to be able to do this class.

Dehydration is a food preservation method that removes moisture which microorganisms thrive on. This is one of the most commonly misunderstood forms of food preservation which has led to food safety issues. The instructor will teach us how to properly dehydrate different types of food and how to store those foods. The instructor will bring fresh ingredients to work with as well as all the utensils needed to make these products. Only people that have taken at least one Friday class and have registered will be able to participate in the class. Please sign up for the class ahead of time to participate. You can call the library at 505.867.1440 or sign up on the link below.
