Family Music Literacy Event | Scott & Johanna Hongell-Darsée : "Lanval" by Marie de France In-Person
The internationally loved music duo of Scott and Johanna Hongell-Darsée will perform the Arthurian legend of Sir Lanval, based on a tale by Marie de France (circa 1160–1215), as retold in British and Scandinavian ballads.
Children and families will learn how the unity of storytelling and song, known as balladry, transcends boundaries of culture, language, place, and time.
Scott and Johanna Hongell-Darsée have performed in the great capitols of Europe (London, Paris, Copenhagen, Geneva, etc.) and in major American venues (New York City and Los Angeles). Nominated for three New Mexico Music Awards, they have had multiple, consecutive hits on the the Top 40 World Music Charts since 2022.
